which osx widget do you use and find useful

I use istat pro , its very useful to display all sorts of system stats

The Quicktime to full screen widget is especially useful if you don't have pro

I have a Sudoku widget that is useful during boring lectures

Just have the usual calculator, weather and calender widgets though I added a xbox gamertag widget awhile ago. I should look for more widgets to try out and I'd like to see what others here use.

edit: I added iStat pro, MLB standings, scores and schedule.

I have a sudoku widget, clock, weather, Callwave SMS sender, Callwave Visual Voicemail Widget, conversion, iStat Pro and that is about it.

ISTAT pro, oxford dictionary, a few digital clocks, weather channel, The Matrix display.
Now I just need to figure out how to disable the ones I dont like.

You mean delete them? Or just get them off the dashboard because they take up too much space? You remove the same way you put them on there, the '+' in the bottom left corner, then you click on the 'X' that appears in the upper left corner of each widget, but only on the ones you want gone.

OK, so is there anyway I can make one or two of them stick up there and not use the dashboard?
Just keep them around AND use my normal desktop stuff at the same time.
Been digging around in the Help and I cant seem to find anything.

Open up Terminal and type:

defaults write com.apple.dashboard devmode YES

logout and log back in

Now, hit f12 to bring up Dashboard, grab the widget that you want, keep holding it and then tap f12 again, now it is on your desktop. Can't remember if the widgets stay on top of other windows or not, but that is how you do it.

Shizzle. I never gave a crap about the weather until I had a Widget.

Does that terminal operate like a Unix terminal?

It is a Unix Terminal.
