i want to try osx but if i end up liking it i still want to be able to use windows and linux.

how hard is to to dual boot these two. Ive had a dual boot with vista and ubuntu and a triple boot with vista, xp and ubuntu. Is it any harder or easier to dual boot osx and vista?

and how about triple booting vista osx and ubuntu?

You might be best served asking in the All Things Apple forums. My only experience with dual/triple booting OSes with OS X is on Macs, so if you are considering Hackintosh, then you should check in the Apple Forum.

Booting the three of them isn't too bad. I triple boot Vista/Ubuntu/Leopard via GRUB, it works out rather well as long as you install Unbuntu last and can edit the GRUB config file.

Booting just OS X and Vista is a bit harder since you can't use GRUB. Leopard (or rather Darwin) has its own boot loader but it sucks, and using the Vista bootloader means you need to be careful since it requires using the chain0 method. Chain0 can't see partitions beyond 200GB, IIRC, so if your Leopard partition starts after that, chain0 doesn't work.
