OSU Student Hangs Himself

Friend just IMed me this. The guy hung himself in her building's study lounge this morning - his body was discovered by housekeeping. I haven't found any news article, but she did send me this, but it's not detailed - Link. The only other thing I know is that he was an engineering student.

When I was at the University of Illinois (UIUC), some guy got run over after leaving a physics exam during my freshman year. That was messed up.

During my junior or senior year on Halloween night, a woman was found murdered in the Chemistry building. The guy who killed her jumped in front of a moving train that same night.

I later heard of a grad student (engineering) killed himself by hanging in his office. His research advisor found him.

Then there was also this one story where a grad student died at home in the shower. He slipped and an old faucet handle that had no knob attached. It punctured his heart. His kids found him.

Here at UCSB, some freshman was on drugs, took his car out and smashed a bunch of people who were out to party on a weekend. He killed like four or five of them and then jumped out of the car yelling about being the angel of death. He kinda got off. They called him insane and put him in a mental hospital. His name is David Attias.

Lots of death around campus.

This is great news!!! The gene pool has been cleansed just that much further. Seriously. I have a heart and feel for his family and such.

But if he was such an idiot/wasteoid/pussyass-pansy/mental midget that he offed himself over a girl or whatever other reason, he didn't belong in MY world. Sorry...weakling. Take it to Oprah and cry; I'm glad he's not going to spread his DNA and poison my world.

There are so few (if any) problems and emotional wounds that time cannot heal. You can always reset yourself to "zero" and take a fresh start at life.........unless you throw it away. Once you choose to exit - it is over forever!

whoa there buddy...i think you need to take one step back and reevaluate your position here. in high school a very close friend that my brother and i knew for about 10 years took his life. if you had the horror of having to experience the same thing, i think you'd be singing a different tune. you try and rationalize your position by deeming everyone that commits suicide a "idiot/wasteoid/pussyass-pansy/mental midget that he offed himself over a girl or whatever", but the fact is that that is not always the case.
