What the heck, I grabbed one.

This is my 1st one & I probably won't use it too much but always wanted one.

Seems like a decent price too! Thanks Joker. ;)

Well after doing some more reading on these things, I cancelled my order for the oyster & bought one of these.

I got the Zojirushi NS-RNC10 a 5 cup cooker. Is it true that 1 cup of uncooked rice yields 20 cups of cooked rice?

I know it's 4 times the cost of the one Joker posted but I really wanted a good one after reading some about these.

I own the ZAC10 model and LOVE it. That $149.99 is actually a good price at asiachi. I think I paid $155 and that was the cheapest anywhere (trust me, I looked).

For a single person, is it worth it buying one of the bigger models or should I aim for a smaller 3 cup type? Do you only cook rice in your rice cooker?

You don't need larger than a 5 cup. And yes, I use my rice cooker for a LOT of things. For that reason, I really recommend a 5 cup as the smallest to get. 10 cup is for large families.
