Osho

I was scrolling through books and came upon Osho. I have heard about him before. He is a guru to many people and a has a high level of intellect. He is enlightened.

Just wondering if anybody has come across this book?

link

It is huge and full of information. Might have to check it out.

Yes, I've got the book. It's okay, but he tends to babble on a bit too much for my taste. I get much more from reading Rumi's works, Taoist literature, or The Conference of the Birds.

Danger Will Robinson, danger.

"Osho" was a totally fraudulent scammer. He had a deal going up in Oregon under the name "Rajneesh" cruising around in Rolls Royces & free sex with tons of babes, was deported, went back to India, chameleon name change to Osho, later kicked the bucket.

Fraud. Kook. Scam artist. Not spiritual. Don't be deceived ny people who just throw a spiritual-sounding facade at you.

QUOTE
Rajneesh captured the nation's attention in 1981 when he moved his ashram community and 93 Rolls-Royces to Antelope, Oregon and advocated "enlightenment" through sexual promiscuity. ...

Ma Anand Sheela, the Rajneesh's personal secretary, later pled guilty to a number of charges including, "plotting to kill Mr. Rajneesh's physician with a poison-filled syringe and orchestrating a food poisoning outbreak that sickened more than 750 people in The Dalles, the county seat, as part of a plot to take control of the county,..."

...was also arrested and deported . . .END QUOTE (quote source)

People around me deeply into that, whom I respect, tell me the best info on "how to go about it" is here (although I personally do not know and would not get involved with their organization):

I'm very familiar with Osho.

Have many of his discourses on audio, a couple videos and a few books.

If you are looking to build a wide field of study in this arena of knowledge, something by Osho certainly won't hurt.

He was a controversial figure so you'll also hear plenty of colorful things about him.

You would probably also benefit from Rumi, Thich Nhat Hanh, Nisargadatta Maharaj, Ken Wilber and Ramana Maharshi.
