I want to apply for OSAP. I am going to be requesting the cost of tuition, residence ect. The thing is, I have 22000$ saved up from the last year and a half. If I give this to a familly friend to hold onto, would that violate OSAP policy at all?

I'm pretty sure there's a limit to how much money you can give to a specific person. The limit is raised when it comes to a spouse.

But as for violating the policy...I'm not sure.

How much money do you make a year? Some families don't apply for OSAP.

I make about 18000$ a year, but for the 4month period before my semester starts I will be in Brazil so will not be making anything. Parents combined income is 32000 a year.

Yeah, was just wondering about the line where you have to disclose assets, if I give the 22000 to the familly friend, will it still count as a asset?
