still alive? :D we're so focused on hussein that he is no longer in the picture or a criminal. I smell something very fishy, this guy maybe just a mercenary who gets paid what he does. btw, terrorism is evil

Because in their case it'd be "we jus wanna hep' yew!" and in yours it would have to be because "Bush lied!". See the difference?

Osama may be used, like Saddam, to get a spike with the populace. But Bush would have to time it really close to make him win the election. And knowing how incompetent he is, he will not be able to pull it off.

Why worry about him? The true Terrorist was caught last December hiding in an ICBM Silo.

The hunt for Osama has not slowed, just because you haven't been hearing about it doesn't mean that we are not still hunting him down. Osama never left the picture, you just stopped looking at it.

Yeah, I hear OJ is still looking for the real killer too. Maybe he and George should get together on the links and look for the bad guys together.

He was being sarcastic, Saddaam was caught last December and instead of hiding in a ICBM silo along with his "WMDs" he was in a spider hole. Remember when the Bush administration convinced you that the War on Terror = War on Iraq?

Agreed. The issue is detouring to Iraq instead of keeping our resoures all focused on OBL and fighting terrorism.

Yes because as everyone knows the U.S. has only one car.

The US has many resources, but not infinitely many, so it has to make choices on how to use those resources. If the resources spent on Iraq gave us more security than searching for OBL, hiring more sky marshalls and qualified airport screeners, and other possible security measures we could have had for $100+ billion and thousands of casualties, then Bush made the right choice. However, if we could've gotten more security for that huge cost by focusuing elsewhere than Iraq, then he made a terrible mistake.

thanks to iraq we are stretched thin, we are even having to take troops out of south korea to put them in iraq. and have spent 1/10th of a trillion dollars and counting.

if we had put similiar resources towards afghanistan, we'd have osama and all his spider-holes.

what are the troops doing in south korea? im pretty sure they're not the sole reason the north hasnt tried to invade again. the principal of MAD still applies.
