OS X Screen Recording

A friend of mine wants to do some Photoshop tutorials. She wants to record video of it. Are there any decent free programs out there for doing this on OS X?

Of course we can just record it to a VCR or something but she wants software that can record.

Using Quicktime X - if you use that don't forget that you can turn on accessability features in the os, and then use command and your scroll wheel to zoom in and out during the screen recording. This will mimic some of the fancy features of the other software.

Quicktime X sometimes has some odd color profile problems when it encodes the videos out and is also quite a bit less flexible when compared to Screenflow and Snapz Pro but it does work and is free 😉
