OS X on PC

Nope, You can get the kernel, but the GUI has not been released. I would be surprised if it ever is released on the PC. Thats what really drives apples hardware sales, the OS.

Actualy, IIRC, the kernel is the only part of OSX you can get for a PC...

Nope, it uses Display PDF or Quartz, as they call it.

Kind of a throwback to the NeXT's Display PS.

Nope, you can get a lot more than just the kernel. http://www.darwin.org for info on it.

You can download XF86 4.2.0 for it. I did and its great. I also use xonx so I can have Quartz and XF86 (in rootless mode) on the same screen. It is like switching between applications to switch between the two. Pretty slick.

Of course I do this all on the PPC architecture.
