OS X Leopard: Front Row

Since Apple is saying that Leopard will be a complete package, by that having Boot Camp and Front Row, does that mean that they will be allowing 3rd party remotes and IR devices to be used to control Front Row. Because if they support G3 to Intel or whatever, that means the older Macs won't have that IR port nor the remote. So the people upgrading will not have that functionality unless they have their own. Does that mean Leopard will be more of an OS with Home Theater support? Speculate.

Wouldn't surprise me but you'll need to get the remote from an 'Apple-approved' partner which just means it will cost 3 times what they can really afford to sell it to you for, for no apparent reason.

If Apple is shipping Front Row with that program intact, wouldn't it stand to reason that they would be coming out with a Media Center Mac? You would need a remote, and not all Macs have a remote nor the IR receiver.

Apple has a relatively short lifecycle. Macs without remotes or IR receivers will be out of their support range soonish.

EDIT: On the consumer side, of course.
