OS, Programs and Files in 3 Separate drives

Okay, I was bored during easter weekend so I decided to do overhaul on one of the rigs.

I put OS on one 120GB, put all apps and programs on another 120GB and put movie files and picture files in a separate 250GB.

I then put the pagefile.sys on the 250 and only turned on system restore on the OS 120.

Seems like loading of apps like photoshop and games like HL2 is a whole lot faster to me.

Separate drives spinning for each purpose OR is it just because of new OS install?
