Hello All,
I?m going to post this in the Hardware and Operating forums; I think it falls in both.
Ok, WIN98SE and WIN2K were on my computer as a dual boot. All seem to work fine until I had a memory problem (one stick failed) and I didn?t know it was the memory and decided to just install WIN2K without WIN98SE. That?s when I discovered that I had some bad memory. That fixed, but since I installed WIN2K on my computer I have experience lock-ups or freeze-ups whatever you want to call it all the time. I would run Adobe Premiere 6.0 and during playback the computer would lock-up. Only way to get out is to do a reset.
I was going to make a audio cd with Adaptec Easy CD Creator and when I clicked ?Create CD? the program would eject my blank cd and ask for a new blank. I put a new one in and it just hangs there.
I also have a Promise FastTrack 100 setup a RAID stripe 0 with two IBM 45gig hd?s. That is the drive that stores all my video and audio for those programs.
One last thing, during these lock-ups, if I press ?Alt-Ctrl-Del? and click on Task Manager and try to End the program, I see that the FastTrack Monitor Utility is failing to shut down.
Is it the FastTrack that has the problem? But it always worked before with my dual boot in both OS?s.
Thanks in advance.

I've notieced in your rig profile that P3 is O/C. Try to clock it down to the stock speed and see if that helps. If I remember right the CUSL2 is an Intel 815 based chipset. I guess that you have installed all of the appropiate drivers for it.
