So, I've decided we have too many "Vista sucks because of xxx" or "Linux sucks because of xxx" or "Mac OSX sucks because of xxx". Well, I'm sick of it. So lets show some lovin' rather then hatin'. I'll go first.

Vista
-It was dead simple to install. I don't think I've seen an easier OS to install to date.
-It felt snappy! I didn't have any speed issues with a fresh install.
-Things are way easy to install, pretty much every application imaginable has a vista version.

Ubuntu
-I love synaptec! Really, it takes the pain out of finding and installing software for linux. Formeraly a big issue for me.
-It runs pretty snappy.
-Easiest installation of the linux OSes that I have seen.
-Beryll (when it works) Looks pretty cool.
-Multiple Desktops FTW!

XP
-Golden oldy! Runs on everything and pretty much everything supports it.
-Not too bad to install. Slightly harder then Vista, but easier then previous windows version (About at the level of an Ubuntu install).
-Lots of software available for it.

LFS (I couldn't resist!)
-Leanest install that I have ever had!
-I knew every single package (and what it did) that was installed on my OS
-Very snappy. -O2 or -O3 optimizations really help.

So those are mine. Chime in with some OS lovin'

Combined with WordPerfect 5.2 (word processing), PC Tools 5.5 (calendar, backup, notepad, file management, database), and Lotus 123 (spreadsheet), this was BY FAR the most "productive" software I've ever used. "Modern" systems are pitiful in comparison.

Works equally well with keyboard and mouse
Instant task switching'
Full multitasking
Runs all DOS and Windows software
Easy macros allow complex data transfers between different programs
Copy command can copy multiple "sections" of data, instead of only entire blocks

Easiest and quickest install ever (and getting better).
Awesome wireless support (out of the box).
It's easy and makes sense.
Installing 3rd party software couldn't get much easier thanks to the work put in by the packagers and developers.
Runs on all of my computers.
