Laptop: Lenovo Yoga 3
Issue/Error Upon Install: A required cd/dvd device driver is missing
Install Method: USB w/ISO W7

From searching around the problem seems to be that I need to plug my flash drive into a USB 2.0 port and everything will be golden as W7 only had generic USB 2.0 drivers. The Yoga 3 only has 2 USB ports and they are both 3.0

The Yoga 3 BIOS is pretty simplistic, there is no way to disable USB 3.0. I have "Boot Mode" set to Legacy Support and "Boot Priority" to Legacy First. with "USB Boot" Enabled.

I have 2 other flash drives but they are both 2.0.

How can I get this OS installed on this Laptop?

Installing old OS's on newer hardware is always problematic. Especially on a device like this with limited connectivity options. Why do you need to install Win 7 on this device?

If I was going to attempt it, I would try an external DVD drive to try the actual disk. The larger problem is going to be the remaining driver support (or more to the point- lack thereof)
I would say that a move to 10 would likely be much simpler, with much more manufacturer support.

Hi, everyone. If you want to install win7 for yoga 3 you need to download Intel USB 3.0 driver for NUC link: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/24896/USB-3-0-Intel-USB-3-0-Driver-for-Intel-NUC. When you will start to install win7, you need to:

1. Choose the button browse, then the folder with downloaded driver, then the folder Driver/HCSwitsh. In the window will appear PCI_Bus driver, choose it.

2.Then open push the browse again and choose the folder Driver/ Win7. In the window you need choose USB 3.0 Root_hub.
