Is there a program I can get that I can use to make programs think I'm running a different OS? Similar to Windows XP's compatibility options? I'm dealing with a certain app that refuses to run under my current version of windows and I want to force it.
 
You might want to look into Virtual PCor VMWare. This lets you run an entire OS inside a virtual machine. You can run DOS, LInux, or any version of Windows inside this virtual machine. If the program does not run in this version of Windows then tricking it to run probably won't help.
 
I've been using the 45 day trial of VirtualPC to run O/S2 on a WinXP box. The VirtualPC part works ok, But I have a few kinks to work out of O/S2 yet.
