Hey people,
I just built a computer, and for some reason, my USB ports dont work. Cant figure out why Win98 didnt recognize them [put them in the system profile], and I dont know what to do to fix it. Any help would be appreciated. FYI, the comp has a Duron 700 MHz, and an Abit kt7-raid mobo. Thanks,
VT

have you downloaded the newest 4in1 drivers from via? I believe there's usb support updates in there although windows should have done it. But Windows is notorious for not doing things it's supposed to (i.e. - Plug and Pray)...

I got a kt7, no raid, when usb probs happen to me i turn comp off, startup, shutdown, then plug em in and startup, if that dont work leave them unplugged for a while while running, then plug back in and possibly run the add new hardware wizard, i'm guessing its software cause win98 is the evilest os ever made, OR you can try to check if you have the usb irq enabled, or usb enabled in your bios, if that no work, then call abit
