OK, I just finished building my first system, and I need to get Windows XP onto this bad boy. I am a high school student, but since I take classes at the local University, I am eligible for adademic software.
I wanted to just buy the academic version of XP, but nobody in town sells it. The university has MSDNAA, so I can download some software free online. However, they only have the upgrade for XP.
Should I just buy the regular CP Pro ($200), or settle for XP home ($100). What are some of the main differences? The PC will be used for gaming, coding, and tons of office stuff (will be starting college this fall). Will I be missing any major features by using the home version?
I am not really on a budget, but I don't want to pay more than I need. I also want the OS as soon as possible (I'm eager to get this system running - the bios is only so fun).
Sorry if this questions are pretty common, but I need some help. Thanks!
