It would be interesting to hear what drive configurations some of us are using for OS/APP/Storage/Backup setups.

Mine currently is:
2x 640 WD Black in raid 0 - OS & App drive
250gb WD External over usb2.0 - Storage & backup (ran out of space a while ago)

Thinking of moving to:
SSD - OS/Apps
640 WD x 2 raid 0 - Storage/Games
2TB drive - backup

Main system:
30 GB OCZ Vertex Turbo: OS/most apps (win 7 premium 64 - no pagefile, no Hibernate or system restore)
60 GB OCZ Vertex: Games
1TB WD Green: Downloads, things I will encode, current movie rips, work folder, HTML work etc.

Server
WHS. 4 TB. Serves movies and music. Also where I transfer all work and movies etc from main -store everythign and have everything backed up

External USB drive: Just back up again of important documents.

I am putting together a server that will consolidate all documents from my computers into one location. I'm also building the wife a new computer that will be using 2x80GB HDDs in RAID0. I've got more 80GB drives than I know what to do with from old work computers that we junk that I just use them as cheap system drives 🙂

New Server:
40GB 5600rpm Laptop Drive - OS/Apps
250GB+160GB+160GB - Main Storage
250GB+160GB+160GB - Backup Storage
 
Interesting that I see quite a few SSDs... My setup is below.

Desktop:
OS/Apps - 1.2TB RAID 10 with 4x640GB WD Blues
Work Storage - 1TB WD Black
Media Storage - 1TB WD Green

Server:
OS/Misc - 320GB WD Blue
Storage - 1.5TB RAID 5 with 4x500GB WD Greens
**the server keeps disk images of all the comps in the house (just windows/apps), backups of each comps documents and email, backup of my work files, music and videos. It's about half full.

Offline:
Jungledisk (Amazon S3) - unlimited? currently about 100GB worth backed up.
** I backup documents, email, and important work files.

All the other computers in the house have just one regular drive so nothing special there.
 
2x 120 GB Vertex's in RAID 0 for my OS & APPs

4x WD 640's in RAID 10 for my Data *

*I also have a 256 GB RAID0 on these four disks that I use for photoshop scratch and misc temp stuff.

1x 1 TB External SATA for daily backups

1x 1 TB External USB drive in the fire safe
