orphan files in recycle bin

Hi all,
In Windows XP, if a user leaves files in the recycle bit, then later the
user is deleted via the control panel "user accounts" applet,
do these files stay in the recycle bin? How can they be cleared up?

I'm wondering if this has happened on my own PC, I seem to have some old
media files in the bin, but when you open the recycle bin in the two accounts
I have active, nothing shows up.

I found these media files by using the search program "Agent Ransack", which lists
files such as "dc5.avi" in the recycle bin.

Or could some other recycle bin corruption be causing this?

Thanks,
Dave

Thanks for the link. I also realized one of the freeware programs I have installed
lets you see inside some of these hidden folders. I had it installed so long,
I forgot it was there.
Cheers,
Dave
