oh fine, don't ask about my shoulder.

it's been bothering me for going on 8 or 9 years.

i might've dislocated it in jhs without knowing.

felt like it was dislocated though...

now, it's quite painful on a chronically sore, and acutely painful basis occasionally.

i also have bad knees.

i'm 20. and my body is falling apart, other than the fact that i am hideously overweight.

hope you're okay ornery =)

Mday,

Have you ever tried seeing an orthopedic or a doctor?

Thanks for asking, Toolman. Just spent the last 15 minutes searching for that old topic... nada! It was posted around Sept 1st. and contained the words rotator cuff, Supraspinatus etc. I wonder where it went? Here's a few other snippets from that thread:

Well, I'm scheduled for surgery on November 6th. There has been zero improvement for the last several months. The thing that clinched the decision for me was not being able to shoot a basketball pain free or play catch with my sons very well. I won't continue to live like this if it can be fixed.

I'm working extra hours at work to prepare for the time off. It's going to be a few weeks from what the doctor said. I'm also getting work done around the house that I won't be able to do. The PCs have been covered with tarps because of drywall dust and painting. Man, I've got a snoot full of that dust! Ugh :(

I'm up to my waist in leaves that have to be transferred to a mulch pile in the back yard. Company is coming from out of state this Friday and I still have the whole rest of the house to paint inside! Needless to say, I ain't gonna be posting much for a while...

And this is what my 9 year old got me to download in MP3 version apoppin: BLUE (DA BA DEE)

Is that "Hip Hop"? :p

I can't tell Ornery, the link doesn't work. What's your verdict (finally) on hip hop? Is it music?

I like it and no one can accuse me of being a hiphopocrite.

:)

EDIT: Link fixed. I see it now. The download doesn't work from that site. However, "Blue" - I heard it before - I think it is more (European) Pop than Hip hop.

Good luck with the surgery. Have you tried any other alternatives?

Oops, I wanted to edit that last post to say that the surgery is on December 6th, not November. I tried physical therapy since April when the injury occurred. Found out later via MRI, that there is a tear. The Dr. prefers to do the "open" surgery VS orthoscopic. I'm game. I want it fixed!

After starting work at 6:00AM, I put in 11 hours and then knocked out most of the front yard of leaves in about an hour thanks to my son's help. Just finished sanding and painting the bathroom ceiling. On to stripping paper in our old bedroom...

Eiffel 65 is "European Pop", eh? Sounds about right. My younger boy loves that tune. He says there is a video for it on MTV. Is Hip-Hop music? Is Rap music?

I was thinking more of acupuncture as a form of therapy. But a tear is often repaired well by surgery. I am surprised that the 'open' variety is still popular for your type of problem. Recovery time is generally so much longer

Anyway, it seems like you are doing lots of work - take it easy on that shoulder.

I guess from your reply, you still don't like rap or hip hop very much. I am just really surprised - even impressed - you actually listened to some of it.
