I have been using Anandtech for a while now... while reading this you can glance to the left and see when I signed up. I have recieved countless bits of valuable free information from my piers and learned about so many hot deals from that o so popular forum. However, I remember a time when I knew nothing of anandtech and a friend was telling me this cool web site where I could find some hot deals. He began to tell me the url address. Well... needless to say he had to repeat it 3-4 times and spell it out just so I could get it right. I am very happy that he turned me onto anandtech when he did. Actually, I'm not sure how I ever got alone with out it :p

Basically the purpose of this thread is to see if anyone can educate me on who started anandtech, who currently runs it and where in the heck fire was this name crafted? :p

I would appreciate only serious responses. Thx. l8rz

The founder's first name is Anand. Go to the parent website, and read up on him.

Well.....
On April 2, 1997 AMD officially announced their K6 processor, a Socket-7 CPU that hoped to carry on the Socket-7 platform in spite of the fact that Intel had already abandoned Socket-7 in favor of their, at the time, new Slot-1 platform.

a tale of sorrow, mischeif, anger, hatred, and unbridled passion not soon to be forgotten.

Anandtech.......
