Original A8N-SLI- any problems with 2 gb ram?

I bought the original A8N-SLI last year, not the premier model or whatever the second version was. I have 1 gb of ram now and I was going to upgrade to 2 gb. I vaguely remember some initial issues with this board and 2 gb of ram. Does anyone know of any issues? Also I have not updated the bios since the first couple of versions, Does anyone know what version works best now?
 
I have the A8N SLI Premium working with two 1G DIMM for a total of 2GB. No problem with it. Memory are standard DDR400 Kingston, nothing fancy here.
