This seems like a pretty damn good deal for $30/year (or $5/month) if you like their games.

I do, but not enough to buy this now, but it's worth knowing about. I just spent $25 for Titanfall 2 and Battlefield 1 revolution (content that used to cost $170), that I'll probably play little, so $5 more for a year for that plus many more game wouldn't have been a bad alternative. It's quite a few hundreds of dollars of games you might want to play, and maybe not having them sitting in the backlog after a year is ok (or you can renew).

Origin Access members also get to try new EA games before they’re released
Is this a beta testing option or just the ability to play the game a week before everyone else? I still refuse to give EA any of my money but I feel like they know their demographic well enough to capitalize on the idea of playing a new game before most people.
