Question Organizing files when using Photos

I'm using the Windows Photos app to view all the family photos and videos from our cell phones (not my DSLR photos, which I use a dedicated program for). This seems to be easiest for the wife and kids to scroll through to browse, send to someone, etc. I noticed that it sorts everything by date, which is great, and has the albums you can make, etc. Is there any need to organize the photos into folders in File Explorer? It feels weird to have them all just dumped into one huge folder, but I would just organize them by date (like I do with my DSLR photos) which the program already does. Thanks!
