Organic Chem

Im taking Orgo next semester and want to get a head start this summer becuase my sister failed it twice, and she is now a vet so it seems pretty hard. I am looking for either some good books or sites online where i can read up about it and begin to learn it. I really need to ace this class next year to get into the Pharm. program.

If anybody has any suggestions let me know

thanks!

Reading suggestions? I'd say go buy the textbook for your class and start reading a little bit. Orgo itself is not a very a hard class, it has gotten a bad rap usually because of bad professors / poor teachers. However, If you do not stay on top of the material, you will be swallowed up and left in the dust. Organic Chem is a cummalitive subject so if you do not understand a section(s), make sure you ask for help from someone. Being able to see things in 3D, i.e. spatially apt is also a plus. Good luck. I hope to be TAing a course in the fall and if you have any more questions, you can PM me.

a lot of Orgo is about memorization, might be pointless to start studying now since you will forget them by the time you take your tests.

dude orgo seriously sucks.

take it over the summer if you can. They wont do as much stuff during the summer as they would during the semester.
Also the curve will probably be a lot better in the summer.
