Conservative talk-show host Bill O'Reilly is ready to scratch San Francisco off the map of the United States. Gone. Coit Tower? Terrorists can blow it up, and the rest of the country shouldn't care.

The Fox News talk-show host and one-man conservative media juggernaut has concluded that the United States and San Francisco just don't go together anymore. Voting to oppose military recruitment in public schools and to ban handgun ownership, as San Franciscans did Tuesday, means the city should be cut off from federal dollars. And then some.

"You know, if I'm the president of the United States, I walk right into Union Square, I set up my little presidential podium and I say, 'Listen, citizens of San Francisco, if you vote against military recruiting, you're not going to get another nickel in federal funds,' " O'Reilly said Tuesday on his radio show as San Franciscans were approving the two measures. Perhaps, he didn't realize that he'd be speaking mostly to foreign tourists and suburbanites if he were standing in Union Square.

"Fine. You want to be your own country? Go right ahead," O'Reilly went on. "And if al Qaeda comes in here and blows you up, we're not going to do anything about it. We're going to say, look, every other place in America is off limits to you except San Francisco. You want to blow up the Coit Tower? Go ahead."

If he was a muslim he would be under serious investigation, I am seeing less and less seperating these radical right wing types from the very enemies they claim to be at war with.

Who the hells side are these people on anyhow? Yes, we all know he is a blowhard but many take this man seriously, just like not all muslims take OBL seriously but the most radical do.

He needs a letter from the SF Attoreney General, I am sure the patriot act he supports so strongly has laws against these very acts.

Coit Tower

THIS is one of the major reasons I don't like the Republicans or the right in this country any more. Not Billy boy personally, just this general attitude. What's wrong with those people?

A. He's a moron and pervert.

B. SF pays plenty in Federal taxes, thus paying for the military.

C. He's a talking head from Faux and his radio show has very low ratings.

I think it is funny you think Bill is far right winger.

O'Reilly should team up with others of similar intellect. Pat Robertson comes to mind.

If another putz like him is ever again elected President, as a native Californian, I would seriously consider supporting California leaving the Union.

It's funny how you liberals turn fascist as soon as you read something you don't agree with. I don't see a threat anywhere in O's comments other than "hippies, fend for yourselves"..... but yeah, he's almost as full of hot air as you are.

I cannot believe you would think anyone is stupid enough to buy your denial.

Maybe, but I don't think Al Franken has ever encouraged terrorists to blow up Americans.

I didn't say he's a far right winger, I think he's the perfect example of the right of center folks in this country. My dislike of the Republicans based off of people like Bill would be a lot less understandable if I thought he was an extreme righty. But I don't, I think he's smack dab in the middle of you folks. And that's much worse.

Fascist? How did you come up with that?

Hell, that's nothing new. Bushco already followed that plan on 9/11.

You can't sell something that's worthless.

Wait a minute... I mis-spoke. The Bushwhackos sold the majority an entire war based on nothing but lies. :(

It might have something to do with free speech and calling the AG. I'll let you connect the dots, if you can.

Clarify this statement. Are you claiming that Bush knew the 9/11 plot and did nothing, or that he did nothing after the terrorist attack.

This outta be amusing.
