In a sane world Iran would not be building nuclear weapons, so his remark is essentially absurd.

i dont want to stick up for oreilly..but you took what he said out of context, im not saying that it doesnt represent his real beliefs but you left out the end of his statement..

"You know, in a sane world, every country would unite against Iran and blow it off the face of the earth. That would be the sane thing to do, just go in and remove the government, because this is a terrorist state."

I watch O'Reilly

I think he's an idiot yet he is entertaining.

People are afraid of him on his show. Cowards.

I guess you were to lazy to clink the link? They includes two paragraphs of text. How much context is needed for people who ride the short bus?

Actually, I did. You can see where they terminate the quote:

"You know in a sane world, every country would unite against Iran and blow it off the face of the Earth. That would be the sane thing to do."

With a period. Then they bold the real text to again add emphasis to the part they selectively pointed out.

Selective editing, then selective bolding, but unsurprising that you would defend it, being a partisan hack and all.

What the hell is the matter with people? Iran barely has a prototype uranium enrichment program. There is no evidence they have been able to produce any weapons grade material. Realistically it would be years before they could even try to assemble a weapon. Why is it OK to spread all this fear, uncertainty and doubt? Didn't the non-existant WMD's in Iraq teach people anything? Even if Iran did make a weapon, they would be insane to try to use it, they would be obliterated by Israel. I suspect Israel will destroy any production before it even gets to that point, much like they did with Iraq in '81. Why isn't anyone talking about North Korea? Not only do they have nuclear weapons, their leader is crazier than anybody in Iran right now.

Unlike krazy-Korea who we allowed to build bombs under our nose while offering them oil and supplies in an agreement to stop their ambitions, we believe Iran cannot yet fire nuclear weapons back at us. That's the difference, Korea can and would. That means they are untouchable and nothing can be done to them short of nuclear war.

We're attempting to destroy Iran before the same situation materializes in a suicidal religious state where MAD is order of the day and preached in schools, by their media, and publicly declared by their leader.

Iran to build a nuclear weapon?

That's news to me....

Last I heard they were trying for a power plant. Let's just leave them alone and have a few power plants .... Booosh speading fear among the weak again.

Ummm, I think I watched one of Bill's shows. I can't stand him even for amusment it isn't that funny and more like brain warping nonsence. I think people that watch this for enertainment value alone are a little sick since sooner or later you are gonna start agreeing with these people...

<sarcasm>
With that said, I'm sure they'd be much more likely to abandon their nuclear weapons program

WTF are you on?

And let's do the No-Spin News. In Vienna, Iran has threatened the U.S.A. with, quote, "harm and pain" for its role in trying to get the United Nations to discipline Iran over the nuke issue. OK. It's the usual saber-rattling. You know, we'll hurt you, we'll do this, that, and the other thing. Now, what Iran is doing is they perceive that America is weakened because of the conflict in Iraq and the division at home, OK? So they're saying, "Hey, we'll just push the envelope as far as we can push it and see what happens. So we think that Bush is a damaged president, his approval ratings are low, Iraq is chaos -- we're helping that out, by the way." Iran is helping Iraq to be in chaos by allowing the terrorists to go through that country and arming them and teaching them how to make bombs and all of that.

You know, in a sane world, every country would unite against Iran and blow it off the face of the earth. That would be the sane thing to do, just go in and remove the government, because this is a terrorist state. But we can't do that, and now, the U.S.A. is basically has to take this kind of rhetoric. I mean, there's nothing else we can do but go to the United Nations and say to the Security Council, "Look, you can't let these people have nuclear weapons. If you do, there's going to be a war." So it's between war and sanctions.

That is from their web page from he link. Where is the out of context cut off quote? Ya, they bolded the offending part, so? Those are his words, nothing after that makes it less offending. Poor right wing talking heads, there is a non-profit that points out there bias and lies, poor fools and the fools they fool.
