Hardest hit will be adults between the ages of 19 and 64 who make less than $8,980 per year, the federal definition of poverty, and who are not blind or disabled.

If the state would learn to spend money wiser, they wouldn't have this problem.

Agreed. Which is why the measure failed. The state budget actually had a $1.1 billion dollar increase over the last budget, but with only a $300 million dollar increase in revenues. Hence, the "need" for the tax increase. Now though, for some reason, we are supposed to be punished with "cuts", the first of which (of course) will come out of essential and popular services like education and law enforcement. Heaven forbid the state stop giving free health care to illegal aliens!!
I think I might move to Washington state....

In Washinton they would just have the court overturn it and raise taxes anyways.
