Wow, was thinking about doing something like this a little over two years ago, but never attempted as I thought the equipment would not be recoverable. They did an awesome job

At the top of the troposphere, ~10 miles, the temperature is around -76ºF.
At the top of the stratosphere, ~31 miles, the temperature is around 5ºF.
