Just want to make sure: The 0903 Beta drivers will support Conroe and 7950GX2, right? Also, would EVGA be better for the 7950GX2?

I was going to go with 4x Seagate 320GB but I'll get those when I need them.

No, P5W doesn't support Quad SLI.

But I want to verify the drivers I need for 7950GX2 and P5W DH motherboard.

It doesn't say on the website that 7950GX2 is compatible with the P5W DH motherboard, but others on this forum have done this configuration. I just want to make 100% sure. =D

If others have done it and it works great, then it should work for you also.

SilverStone Element 500W

Get that PSU.

Is that enough power for me adding more hard drives and stuff in the future? I was going with 700w to be safe, but others have told me it is too much as well. :x

Yes. Actually, you should probably take it down some more.

Masscool 460W

XClio 450W

Enhance ENP 460W

The 7950 takes 10A, thats 120W. CPU at full load is like what, 30-50W, and this is Conroe, so less. HDDs spinning up, we are talking 10W. 450W is overkill.

I think I'd feel safer with Seasonic, PC power and cooling, OCZ, or another namebrand PSU, as people have told me.

Stick with the OCZ, if you need something lighter get the OCZ 520W or 600W.

"I think I'd feel safer with Seasonic, PC power and cooling, OCZ, or another namebrand PSU, as people have told me."

if you don't know much about PSUs, then don't act like you do. Enhance, Masscool (SEVENTEAM), and XClio are all name brands and in fact really good. That is the only reason I recommended them to you. If you wanted to screw you over I would recommend powmax or aspire.

"Stick with the OCZ, if you need something lighter get the OCZ 520W or 600W."

OCZ is the only good brand?

Edit: how come people just arn't listening today  I think this is the 3rd time today I have had people question me with half a page of posts.

I am not acting like I know about PSUs. People just recommended PC Power and Cooling and OCZ to me before. That's why I didn't recognize Enhance, Masscool, etc. But I thank you for telling me that they are trustable. =)

Sorry for questioning you too much. I apologize for that.

So we are clear? 450W = more then enough. Gooooooooood.

Anyways, don't feel bad about not recognizing the brands (Masscool is a very small name in the PSU business and Enhance isn't THAT big either), nonetheless, they are quality (masscool is made by seventeam).

I almost got the same parts as you have just today and yes as far I have read about the
P5WDH is compatible with 7950GX2 as long as u have the 0901 and upward bios and the new Nvidia drivers. Even if you dont have the latest bios and drivers, you should be able to use the card, but it will run with only one of the GPUs on the card.

Herez what I just ordered(everything from newegg)
E6600,P5WDH,2GB Corsair TWIN2X2048-6400C4,1x7200.10 320 GB seagate,XFX Xtreme 7950GX2,seasonic s12-600.

I might also order 3 more of the 7200.10.

As far the HSF you might wanna read this. This user had some problems mounting the infinity on the P5WDH. His temp reading for his E6600 were saying 70C:Q. I am myself in an Quandray coz I also want the Infinity as it almost a Tuniq Tower 120(which by the way you cant get anywhere), but I dont' know whether it will work with the board(although some other person said that he was able to do it and OC his 6600 to 3.4GHZ and his temp reading under load was like 34 :Q). I am also holding out on the case as I am not sure about the HSF.

Wow. Too bad I already bought the Scythe Infinity like a few minutes before you posted this. =(

But I'll make a new board once I've received my parts and have assembled everything. I got a pretty big case so the Infinity should fit in my case. If it doesn't mount correctly, I guess I'll be stuck with a stock E6600 fan. I hope I won't have trouble mounting it. But thanks for the heads up on that.

Goold luck with your build.
Please keep us posted especially how it goes with the Infinity and the P5WD. As for me I dont think I going to OC this bad boy(E6600) with the stock HSF. I am going to do a lot of reading/searching this weekend and make a decision with my case and HSF
