ordering parts for new gaming rig - requesting a critique/compatibility check

Hi. My e6600 computer croaked so I guess I finally get to make the jump to the current generation of stuff. If you wouldn't mind looking at my list and letting me know what you think of my selections, I'd appreciate it!

budget: ~$1000. Already have monitor, keyboard, mouse, 1.5TB external HDD
purpose: 95% gaming, 5% general office work
deadline: ordering the morning of Tuesday, March 2

caveat: I know the 5770 is fairly midline, but I only need it to power 1680x1050 right now. When I make the jump to a 24" I will plop in a 5870 or something. That's why my PSU selection is a bit overkill for the following list:
