Hi all:

The computer I've made below is in Canadian dollars built off PCCanada.com.

I intend to use it to mainly play World of Warcraft at the highest settings and resolution, as well as any future games. While I understand that WoW isn't demanding, I am building this computer this week for the next few years.

Welcome to the forums .

Antec PSUs are not the best so I would stay away from their case and PSU bundles.

Something like this Asus case and Enermax PSU would be a better choice.

Hey guys:

Thank you for all your comments so far.

Some things to keep aware of:

1. I am definitely ordering Monday from PCCanada

2. These are the customization options I have:

http://www.pccanada.com/quote.asp?action=form&ID=7

3. I will now remove the monitor, as I have one already and will use the $250 to apply elsewhere.

4. I want to spend $1000, give or take 100, before taxes.

Go wild, go free, let me know what you think is best for me!

I would take the extra money and step up the mobo and the video card, maybe 1900xt or 7950. Just a thought though..............

Your'e already spending 270 on a GPU, might as well spend 30 more and get a 512

Quote for good measure.

33% of all PC problems are PSU related and Antec SmartPower/TruePower units lead the parade.

...Galvanized

There are other choices for PSU's that are on that list.
I think the Thermaltakes are ok from that list.
I like the Seasonics, but they are costly.

Here is my revised list, revisions in bold.

I don't know much about case + PSU combos, so I would like some guidance on that as I am afraid the Sonata II with SmartPower 450W might not be enough --> LINK TO PSU DETAILS http://www.antec.com/us/productDetails.php?ProdID=15139

The options I have for CASES and PSU are at: http://www.pccanada.com/quote.asp?action=form&ID=7

Some thoughts:

Core 2 Duo E6300 @199.99 free shipping.

http://www.directcanada.com/products/?s...282&vpn=BX80557E6300&manufacture=INTEL

Cheaper and you can overclock to make up the difference.

2gb > 1gb even it means dealing with tigerdirect. Use the above savings to get http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/...m-details.asp?EdpNo=1882393&CatId=2366

Much better video card (essentially a slight lower clocked 7900GTX)
http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?...90&vpn=512-P2-N573-AR&manufacture=eVGA

since you are ordering a cpu from them anyway might as well spend $7 more for a dvd burner

http://www.directcanada.com/products/?s...0DR9062&vpn=GSA-H10N-BK&manufacture=LG

and the case is cheaper too again all shipped free

http://www.directcanada.com/products/?s...8007&vpn=SONATA%20II&manufacture=ANTEC

That is all I have time for. I would re-eval the other parts as well but this should give you a start.

i would step up to the 320gig wd se16 for 114.99.

I think han made good suggestions for the video card, and memory. 2gig is essential!
