I would love to know where you're going out to eat because that has been the case in like 1% of the restaurants I've been to, lol.

It really depends on the location. There are a couple of restaurants locally with fantastic staff. They make the experience fun and earn a significantly larger than average tip. But you are correct that it's not a common situation, and these places wouldn't use a tablet for ordering anyway..
