Ordering Dells for work w/o OS?

Homerboy

Lifer
I ahve to order a pile of PCs for work, and normally I build them myself, but the deals on Dells are just getting too good to pass up.

The one glaring problem is that they come with XP Home/Pro and we need to run Win2k Pro.

Does anyone know if I can order them with no OS and/or simply buy my own Win2k licenses and format/install on the Dells?

Whatever the price, do not inflict the 2400s on your users. Why not call them directly, they used to offer Win2K on their Optiplexs till a few months back. Anyway why is it so important have 2000Pro?

I haven't been able to get win2k on the optiplexes for a few months, they are all xp now.

You shouldn't have a problem running 2k on computers with XP Pro licenses. Call Microsoft for the details, but we did this for quite a while when XP first came out.
