Hi all, new to the forums,

This is what I have so far, minus the actual case. I need to build a budget system that allows me to use an AGP card, and I need to order it tonight! I am also re-using parts (drives, monitor, videocard, KB/M, OS) from an older computer to complete the system. Are there any conflicting parts with the following?

PS: Please suggest different parts in the same price range, if you have any in mind. This will NOT be an overclocking system for at least a while. I'm going to have to wait to see what that Venice can really do. Also, I'm tossing in my old AGP 6600Gt.

Thank you very much for your time.

Great point, guys. That saves me about 30 bucks right there.

This mobo should fit into any mid-tower ATX case, right? She refuses to use anything bigger than a midtower...

As long as it says ATX, it should fit properly...

I have a little female fiance for whom this computer is to be built. But she's probably only gonna play the Sims 2 on it.

Sold!

Say, you guys don't think I'll have any problems with getting an ATX mid-tower case? I only ask because this board supports both PCI-E and AGP, and I wonder if those cases have slots for both?

I'm using an ATX mid-tower case... With an atx mobo... Fine... It all depends, usually cases have 7 pci bays on the back. Most of the time, only 5 out of the 7 are useable, but it may vary with the mobo and case that you are using.
