ordered Outback take out for lunch... do you have to tip for curbside takeout?

I ordered some food but haven't picked it up yet... main reason i'm not eating in is to save time and also $ on tip.

is it customary to tip for the curbside take out?

yes. It's the servers that commonly prepare everything for takeout orders. Unless this place happens to be different from most other places. I hear that it's a real pain in the rear getting takeout orders prepared. My sister has been a server at a place for 3 or 4 years that does this.

Yes, it's a pain in the rear for most of us to get up each day and do our job, but do we get a tip? Noo....

No...you order takeout to avoid tipping.

Strangely, the local chinese take-out place, and the local italian sub place, both have "tip jars". I'm sorry, but unless you provide me with in-person service, I don't see the need nor the point. If I'm ordering food, it's their job to prepare it. I shouldn't have to tip for preperation. Service above and beyond that, such as them carrying it out to your car, I could see being possibly tip-worthy. And yes, the pizza/sub/chinese delivery guy does deserve a tip.

I dont like the whole tipping bs.
Mostly because I'm a cheap bastard and dont have much money..

but why should i tip all the time? Unless I get some exceptional service, I dont see any reason why I should give away any money 😛

im a cheap ass bitch for sure 😀
