Ordered MS-1029 need help with Windows XP

I ordered my MS-1029 with no operating system. I currently have a home built pc that I built. I used an OEM window XP disk I ordered back when I built the PC. I just want to know if I could uninstall it off my current computer and install it on my MS-1029 notebook. I called microsoft and the customer service rep told me that you can do it, but I justed to ask to see what you guys think. Basicly I would uninstall it off my computer and reinstall it on my notebook. Would microsoft allow this? I didnt talk to a teck, just customer service.
