I did. I explained what I wanted & they're prices were even more! Granted we live in a small town so everythings just a little more pricey.

Only one in town? Should have just saddled up and told her it was, 'time to wrassle a pretty girl and kiss a bare.'

I've dealt with Proflowers once. Had a girlfriend who was living in the states at the time. Ordered her a potted miniature rose for her garden. They sent her a potted azalea instead. She liked it but the azalea was quite a bit cheaper IIRC and not what I had asked for. Didn't fight them on it though. Not worth it.

Nah not even 1 in town. I called a few places in the next few towns over. My town has a pop. of 5000. Hence Proflowers. When I worked in the biggest city in my County, we had a Costco. Their flowers were always nice, but the don't deliver.

For people in bigger towns and cities, Aldi has Valentine roses for $10. I think even Whole Foods sells Valentine roses for $16 or something like that. That's like the only good deal you can find at Whole Foods.

pics of wife?

I will come home during lunch and put flowers and other stuff in the house, basically decorate it a bit... she reaches home before me, that should be a nice surprise!

I don't get my wife flowers for holidays.

She gets them throughout the year, for no other occasion than the fact that she is my wife.

Usually every 2 weeks.

Who would have thought that buying flowers a week before Valentines day would be expensive?

LOL, my wife gets mad at me if I buy her stuff. She tells me not to waste the money

go to grocery store. get roses for $10-$20. assrape not found.

I've been doing this for a while. I quickly discovered the my girlfriend, without knowing the prices, tends to like the cheap bouquets. I got her one for her birthday (in addition to other stuff) for $4.99 and she said it was her favorite one. :D

For me, it wasn't the price of the flowers themselves, it was all the extra charges that doubled it up. Shipping + guaranteed shipping on V-day + the vase plus tax etc. The flower arrangement was actually reasonable. I even used code 2000, wasn't aware of the 4444.

Same here, she won't say anything for 10 20 dollars once a year, that to because she knows that it makes me happy, but not more than that, she will not be happy if I do it on birthdays anniversary and everything. Also jewelry, I only got to buy her once a pair of diamond rings, but I had to promise I will never do that again...
