Don: All I can say is you are surely doing your part to stimulate the economy. WOW let us know how that GTX 690 works out and looks.Yes I've officially lost my mind. Should be here Monday or Tuesday for some 690 vs 670 SLI testing.
Don, have you got your other 2 screens yet?
Don/blackened anyone of you getting the 7990 when its out?
I'd expect both of them to fetch it and some 7970's for tri or quad fire -_-
Damnit Karnage - your 7850 adventures made me go 7850.
Now i want a 670.
And now... i'm like ...is 670 going to be enough?!
There is better out there!!
Better keep myself in line til Big Kepler shows up.

On a serious note, my sympathy to your fiance and you on your loss. When you do have a child all of this "fun stuff computers" will pale in comparison to those precious little ones.
You are working hard at 2 jobs and deserve to have fun. My advice? For every new purchase stick at least $25 more in a bank account for diapers. You are going to change more of them than you change video cards.
College? Add a ton of zeroes to the $25.
Don you crazy ass mofo.
Hope you're not married
I really want to see some benchmarks
True, that's inevitable. Let him enjoy while he still canHe's engaged, but good point - women start to morph into different creatures after marriage* and then again after becoming a mother
* you are still safe at this point with a good income :sneaky:

I think water is a waste with those cards personally, they're just amazing cards even with factory cooling.
Plus the 690 is a work of art, I would remove that it probably costs $100 to make lol.
Air cooling has its advantages as well you know. My Nzxt Havik 140 can beat a lot of watercooling setups actually.
Blasphemy!
How does 32 degrees Celsius sound? Not idle, full load with furmark running? With 1300 core?! Yeah that's not happening on air I can tell you that!
I would not get the Koolance or XSPC blocks, garbage toys. Wait for the Heatkiller "holed" version or go with hydrocoppers like I did. They will be on the website real soon btw.
Yeah my brother and I spend a lot of money on hardware. I was ticked to see a $1k card without a back plate covering up that pcb. C'mon EVGA, there's no excuse for that one.
Aside from that the card is a mad overclocker and unlike the 590 it's true SLI performance. Not quite there out of the box but when pushed just a little it matches it with aplomb. Watercooling them is beneficial if you're shooting the moon on o/c because temps will soar and cause it to throttle unless you don't mind running the fan at 100% all the time or you live in a really cold room. Brrrrr!
The 7990 is around the corner but AMD is fail with xfire and their lousy drivers. Stutter city. The drivers on the 7 series still have serious issues. The card also has issues with EVGA SRX dual socket 2011 boards which I'm not sure if they will be solved on either side.
The stock cooler looks nice but I'd rather have it piped in with the rest of the components. Just silly to have an air cooled graphics card on a full water system. IMHO
