Nice card. Can you use GPU-Z to save the bios to a file and post a link to download it? That's a hot bios...

Man,You stole my quote i just ordered the exactly same card along with a whole core i7 system parts like 10 mins ago:) i read some reviews that this card is actually faster then most gtx 280 at stock so i picked it up instead of the evga gtx 260 ssc edition which I was gonna order before!
Specs:Core i7 920,6GB ddr3 corsair xms3 ram,640GB wd HD 7200rpm,Asus P6T Deluxe and a 750w psu.Think this is a real upgrade from my current P4 2.8 Ghz which has served me for the past 5 years :p
Hmm,a little off topic, but do you guys think that the 750w psu gonna suffice the xfx gtx 260 SLI?Here is the link to the psu:http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16817339002
Thanks for any comments guys.

That's why I got it as well. All the reviews say its faster than a stock GTX 280. Did you get it at newegg as well?

Congrats on your purchases guys. I felt the same way when I bought my EVGA GTX 260 "FTW" Edition late last summer. It is clocked the same (666 Mhz) as the XFX card, but those extra shaders are going to be a help. Mine is a little slower than a stock GTX 280. The reviews I've read about the XFX card show it slightly faster in many benchmarks. I'm a bit envious. ;)

I've only heard of them when I look at newegg. With that kind of money, I think you should shell out another 50 or so and picked up like a good pc power and cooling, bfg, antec, thermaltake, corsair, or something.

Do you guys think one of the EVGA versions would overclock as high as the XFX Black Edition card is. 666MHz I think it is.

If so, I would rather go with an EVGA since it is available through my step-up.

The EVGA Superclocked card is $245 shipped, no rebates at newegg this weekend only- saves you $55 and shipping. If you're interested in this card, it's probably a good time to order while there are some left.

No idea on it's OC ability, personally for 40MHz on the core I wouldn't bother.

Thanks for the advice.

Although I will probably go ahead and do the step=up to EVGA GTX260 Core 216 Superclocked card.

I mean, why not ? Since I can get it for $142.00 in the step-up.

It's the same card on newegg, you'd likely save money buying from newegg

Depends what you could sell you GTX+ for of course, but you can't lose either way.

I heard the evga step-up program is only good for 3 months after your purchase,so no more refills after the 3 month-period even if you did use the step-up during the time?

I think I have 68 days left in my step-up now.

But yea, if I step-up now, Then the card they send me from that is not available to use to step-up again.

I'm sure the Evga one could get the same clocks as the Xfx one. I would have gotten the Evga one, but I like Xfx double lifetime warranty. I am always upgrading my video card and I like being able to transfer the warranty to someone else when they buy it from me :)

so nvidia is so slower that it was not enough to re-brand existing product with more processing power - that didn't help. Now they have some miraculous driver... what a BS you are falling for!

I have to agree with that even though I did get the GTX 260 :) I find it hard to believe that Nvidia just happened to pull out of their butts such performance gains. I think they just held back the performance of the card until the time was right.

the difference being 40mhz,and when you say whether you can overclock the evga to 666mhz which the xfx black is at.However dont neglect the fact that 666mhz is where the xfx black's starting at,and reviews showing it can go up to 700mhz+ easily if you do overclock it,so unless price is what you are concerning,performance-wise xfx black hands down.(with a gtx 260 price and gtx-280 performance what more can you ask!)

The 90 day window is based on the date of the first card. Step-up cards aren't eligible for a step up themselves.

Hi. Really doesn't have anything to do with this tread and borders on trolling, but thanks for sharing. :p
