Its in the Boxing step now. I ordered UXGA, Radeon 9000 64M, free DVD/CDRW upgrade, free second battery and the rest is pretty much low end as possible. I ordered the 1.7G P4 with 128MB DDR. I can now upgrade the memory cheaper aftermarket and the CPU when they are reasonably priced in a year. Who has tried this video out? Which drivers are best? Any tips?

Its the laptop, but its an 8200. I believe when the P4 went in to the lappy they started calling it an 8200. I think the Inspirons are lappys and Dimensions are desktops.

In the Inspiron 8x00 line, the CPU and the video board can be replaced. The CPU sits in a socket just like every other desktop CPU available today. The video also resides on a removable board that can be replaced as well.
