Order & Chaos released for iOS

I downloaded it last night on my iPad. Honestly... it's amazing.

I don't play WoW, although I did years ago, but this is just nuts. It is basically a 100% clone.

It runs PERFECTLY from what I've seen. Anyone else try it?

Its a MMORPG? How the hell are you supposed to communicate? Type on the ipad? I love my ipad, but even an email is tough.

Yes its an MMORPG... I mean, its like identical to WoW.

And yes there is chatting just like in WoW... I doubt people will be talking constantly but it's there. (Chat seemed active fwiw... but then again there are like thousands of people logged in so I guess thats expected)

Gah, of all the times when I don't have WiFi access haha. I'd like to give this a try!

Anyone else try it and have an opinion on how well it plays?

EDIT:

I looked this up on the app store and you can buy currency!? That really turns me off of the game.

Bump-

Anyone else been playing this? When I made the OP I was super impressed, but every time I pick up this game I am more and more impressed.

Everything about it is pretty amazing. The sheer scale of the world is a feat in its own... I mean, you've got this whole world, with VERY few zones, and hundreds of people running around. I've literally seen no lag at all (video OR network).

Anyone else been playing?

I got it, but I haven't had a chance to try it. I still don't like them selling currency. I have a feeling that while the game is billed as a "WoW clone" that it will be nothing more than something fresh to experience for a few months and toss for a real online gaming experience.

You're surprised we're not jumping on this? It has a relatively high buy in cost for a phone game, and on top of that it's subscription based.

two words: F**K THAT

$7 actually isn't that much. It all depends on how you end up using it... I mean, I paid about the same for Chaos Rings when it was on sale and I believe I've sunk about 11-12 hours into the game. Renting a movie may cost about the same if you divvy it up.

You do get 3 free months with the game, and I assume it starts when you actually start playing the game.

I guess it depends on how much you use your phone for gaming. I don't take public transportation much and don't have any reason to play long games on a phone. $7 is a lot for any mobile game IMO, and anything that requires a monthly rate (even though it's just a $1) just rubs me the wrong way on a cell phone.

I think the difference might be that I don't really like playing games like this on my phone and the only plan was to try it out on my iPad. I played Chaos Rings exclusively on the iPad, and I can't imagine how annoying it would be on the iPhone... the screen is just too small.

That's true too. Sometimes I forget there's a bunch of people who have those things 😀

I primarily play on my iPad 2. It runs well on my iPhone 4 but I wouldn't recommend playing with that little real estate.

Must have if you have an iPad and like MMORPG's, though.

As for the currency - Yeah, I agree that its a bummer there are mini-transactions. Although it doesn't appear to be game breaking. As long as things can stay balanced I'm OK with it.
