and i DO realise, the project admin isn't very good
but, this isn't a case of if, but WHEN?
one of these days, there's gonna be a BIG rock hits us on the loaf.
simple as that.
happened before, will happen again!
anyone taking bets??
The biggest problem I have with the Orbit project right now is that the server is offline more than it is online so it's really hard to get work. It does seem like an interesting project, though. As with the SETI project, I'm honestly not as interested in that one-in-a-trillion chance that we'll actually find the specific target of the project (i.e. aliens or an Earth killing rock) as I am in the secondary but more immediately useful results like the discovery of previously unknown interesting items in the solar system and the galaxy beyond.
But if the bet is when ...
0.001 cents that it happens today.
0.01 cents that it happens this year.
0.1 cents that it happens this decade
1 cents that it happens this century
1 dollar that it happens this millenium
1 000 dollars that it happens this decamillenium (10 000 years)
1 000 000 dollars that it happens this centimillenoum (100 000 years)
Any takers? And how do we solve the small issue that (at least in Sweden) contracts between private persons expire when one of the contractees (?) dies?
I would really crunch this project more if the circumstances were better: better project management ... But anyhow: Ill put one of my faster crunchers on the project as soon as the number of WUs ion that comp is done.
you might be waiting a long time peter.
there are people who have been waiting a few months to get a unit.
then again, you might get lucky!!!
best thing might be to just stay attached and forget about it for now. i'm sure somebody will let you know when the units start flowing (i hope! )
