Why couldn't this be the case 6 months ago as we were approaching the election?

We tried to tell em.. but they didn't want the alternate and to them this was heaven.

Over the last decade, Americans have been conditioned to believe that Trump says and does lots of crazy stuff that ultimately has no effect on their everyday lives.

That dynamic is now gone.

I was just reading about Sen. van Hollen telling Rubio he was sorry he voted for him, then the article went on to say that 99 did. That surprised me! Why? They thought he would stay a conventional old school non-MAGA Republican and be a touch of sanity? WRONG!

Do you think Fox will be able to convince independents that wallet raping is a good thing?

It’s pay to play at the Department of Interior!

Burgum has rolled out an alternative permitting process for projects addressing our “energy emergency”. Under the new program, environmental impact statements will be completed in 28 days or less. Which projects qualify (not you solar or wind) is not based on any objective criteria but on the whim of a Trump appointee. The transparency of the corruption is a feature.

Yeppers the administration approach to break the law - just declare everything an emergency.

Yep.. just look at the markets.. they're ignoring the tariffs and setting all time highs.

Ignorance is Bliss!

I have a relative who worked 40 years as a grade school teacher and they retired at age 62 and are collection a pension for life that basically equals what there take-home was before they retired. With pension you have no payroll taxes, other deductions etc. With COLA increases for the pension they now collect $100K+ ever year guaranteed by the CA taxpayers.

The recent Social Security fairness act repealed the WEP and GPO so now they can collect social security based on being married to a ex spouse for 10+ years which has just added $30K+ to their income.

Also a very strong MAGA supporter and thinks Trump is awesome. Completely oblivious to any impact that Trump is having on the economy. Anytime I point out those impacts, they are dismissed with a handwave that these are just adjustments and everyone will be better off.

So let me understand things:
The trump admin cuts govt services
Increase wasteful inefficient spending
incrase consumer cost (tariff)
and decrease govt net revenue.

In the end (other than Trump inner circle); we get less for more !

Reminds me of the "experiment" in Kansas where they made business owners exempt from state income tax. it was all supposed to trickle down and drive an explosion in investment in new businesses. All that happened was a bunch of people created "new businesses" that only employed themselves and the state budget was wrecked.
Errr lol.

University of Kansas men's basketball coach Bill Self, who remains one of the highest paid state employees in Kansas, infamously benefitted from the Brownback tax cuts, which resulted in Self paying little-to-no income taxes through Brownback's elimination of taxes on LLCs and "pass-through" businesses.

I wonder if poling numbers on things like the economy getting better or worse would change if they had a choice like have neither the information and the skill set to render an informed opinion rather than unsure. There are many ways to be unsure fear of answering honestly owing to past experience.

His sagging approval ratings mainly matter for the 2026 mid-terms. It's not like the GQP cares what its constituents think. The standard expectation is that the GQP will pass a massive budget reconciliation bill this summer.

I'm trying to remain optimistic that no amount of Trump's arm-twisting can get the Freedumb Caucus and the blue-state Reps to agree on a bill; but at the end of the day, I don't think Chip Roy's gang will defy Herr Trump's orders.

Yeah, they suddenly produced a bunch of newspaper stories about violent crimes in SA with white victims.

Real pity he wasn't in a position to respond with a collection of stories of police (and random white people's) abuse and murder of black people in the US (I believe there's a thread on here he could have used).

THEY ARE EATING THE DOGS, CATS AND THE FARMERS!!!

More lies about white genocide. White people in South Africa even deny there's a genocide there. Trump saw it on tv, so it has to be true. Remember, Trump gets his briefings from fictitious characters his aids sell him, like Ron Vara, the Tariff Genius that never existed.

If you're going to show a President atrocities that supposedly occurred in their own country, you should be able to name where the "mass graves" are located.

This whole stunt smells like Stephen Miller. Trump is obviously in decline and little Stephen is pushing his race war stuff.

Eggs, groceries, retail goods, measles… UP!

Airplanes, Helicopters, Stocks, America, 401(k)’s…. DOWN!

TRUMP DID THAT!
