I stated this message as a reply to thank OK for implementing the new naming feature on the proxy and to thank him for the work with his web site and the TeAm proxy! But, as I wrote I remembered that I have long thought that he deserves Elite status. He has been with the TeAm much longer than I, and has been on the forums from the start. During that time he has given tirelessly with his web site by providing us with Stats. Not just a daily dose, but also a weekly, monthly and annual recap. When Berkley has been down, his proxy was there to provide WUs when some members would have run out. I know he have done all of this because he enjoys it but his dedication and consistency has been an inspiration to others! I feel that Orange Kid deserves to be elevated to the level of Elite Member!

On a side note, why don't we ever vote for elite members? I realize that the mods want to exercise some kind of control over who receives elite status, but I think this community is mature enough to be allowed to vote. We could have a monthly election. Each member would receive one vote to cast for any other member (not yourself) who you feel should be given elite status. At the end of the month, whoever has the most votes would get to be elite! It would only be one new elite member per month, so it's not like everyone and their cousin could be elite, but it would give us some control over these kinds of things.

Here's another vote!! OK is great guy. Going through his proxy lets me see the production of all the computers not actually in my house. It takes a lot to keep a server like that up. He well deserves Elite status!
 
As a note, the best way to bring someone to the Mods' attention is to write them an email or to send a PM to them. Much better than posting in a forum.

As far as I can tell, "Elite" is not based on popularity or votes. It is up to the Admin.
