Anyone getting this for the 360? I haven't seen any reviews yet. I guess I want to see if the mp code is good before I buy it.

I think it sucks that 360 and ps3 are limited to 16 player matches. That really limits things and slows things down. I want to grab this on Wednesday but I need to see some mp reviews first.

i think PC is the way to go with this one, much larger player base since its steam? unless its cross platform play but then uh controller vs keyboard/mouse deally, unless you can keyboard/mouse with the console version in which case thats freaking awesome man but now im just making shit up.

Multiplayer-wise it's not going to be great on the consoles IMO. But it has a ton of single player content, especially if you haven't played HL2 + ep1 yet. $60 is a lot, but you do indeed get quite a bit. Does anybody know if they're working achievements into the 360 version?

They are required to. Microsoft mandates that any game released for their system must contain 1000 gamerscore points that can be acquired. I'd imagine that since this is a single product/SKU, the 1000 points will be divided amongst all parts, i.e. HL2, Ep.1, Ep.2, Portal, and TF2.

If you do not already own HL2 for the PC, the Orange Box should be one of the best bang-for-your-buck titles this year on any platform.

Yep. I'm definitely picking this one up, but it'll probably be a few months. Seriously, it's a real bad idea to be releasing this right after Halo 3. I think since it's been released I've seen two people playing some other game other than H3 on my friends list. (Modeps hit it on the head)

Yeah there's 99 achievements. Mostly worth 5 points or so each.

Halo certainly plays a part in this, but I mean... we're going into the holiday season now and there's just so many games dropping left and right. I bought PGR4 and Halo 3 this past weekend. I want Guitar Hero 3... well, just check out my wishlist for yourself. I dont plan on buying all of these, but I want them :)

LOL no, that's not the problem, I'm exercising self-restraint. Too many times I've succumbed to the temptress that is buying too many games at once... most of the time, I let games sit and gather dust. When I got out of college, I had a job with money, and low bill costs, so I just spent so much on games instead of saving. I should have saved instead. :)

Ya I'd like to buy it but I'm on the fence. I already preordered and payed for gh3, rock band, cod4, and mass effect. Dunno if I want to spend another 60 on games right now. Plus I was gonna get VF5 and Assassin's creed if it gets good reviews.

It is an expensive winter.

My list for the season:

PGR4
Ace Combat 6
Mass Effect

Perhaps I can squeeze in Army of Two or COD4 in there if I'm lucky, though I doubt it.

Already pre-ordered for the PC for $45, and enjoying the hell out of TF2, can't wait for Episode 2. I bought the original HL2, but didn't buy Episode 1...ahem...so it'll be nice to have a legit copy of everything now.

I will be curious to see how this game plays out on the 360/PS3, especially TF2. Multiplayer on consoles tend to be slower to compensate for having to use a gamepad, and TF2 would suffer quite a bit from having to slow down the action.

For $45, this package was a huge steal, I can't wait til the 10th!

I may just pick this up for the 360 if I hear good things about TF2 on it. I have HL2 and ep1 on the PC, but would love to play ep2 and portals. Was never hugely into TF but found it interesting enough to get excited for TF2.

I really can't imagine playing TF2 on a gamepad, yikes.... but if it gets more people playing it I suppose that's cool.

There are several threads about TF2 in the PC Gaming forum.

He has a point, I've played 8vs8 on PC and it's not nearly as intense as 12vs12 games. I had a choice of getting it for 360 or my 4 year old POS computer and I chose the PC, because almost everyone on the 360 will be playing Halo.
