If anyone knows anything about Oracle, I need a little help.

During the installation, I receive many errors and I'm almost convinced it's a hardware issue. The errors are: areaQueries (6 times), generalQueries(4 times) and W2 RegQueries. Could be that the laptop that I'm installing it to might not be strong enough to use it. Here are the laptop specs:

CPU - Pentium 1.133
RAM - 128 megs
HD - 9.33 gigs.

Any help would be great appriciated.

Thanks,
Josh

Hey, thanks for the reply.

No, it's running on Windows 2000. I'm stupid when it comes to Oracle 8i. Do I need to install drivers for it before the Oracle installation (such DBMS, for example)?

That machine is pretty light-weight for the standard 8i or higher.

You might be able to get away w/ the personal or micro versions of Oracle (I don't recall exactly what they offer).

No, you don't need to install anything before starting the Oracle installer, assuming your system otherwise meets the hardware/software requirements.
