Guys like you need a safe little place with your CoolerMaster, Lian-Li, Antec, etc. (spelled b-o-r-i-n-g). You can be a part of the masses or rise well above it like this builder did.....

lol, yeah, that's it...I'm greener than his plexiglass with envy 😛

And I'm sure he's DEFINITELY making a political "fight the power!" statement by building this case

It works like this: In the real world, who is more mature, the gentleman driving the stately Lexus, or the kid in the low-riding, huge spoiler, rimmed out Honda Civic?

Exactly.

You have a fair point with "to each his own", which is why I'm not doing anything more than posting my opinion on this mod. Just like the

this mod looks ridiculous, is obviously trying to hard to be noticed, and must be compensating for something. No, I don't try to garner attention with some wackjob PC case because there's nothing I need to prove to you - it's not worth my time. I look at a PC like this: If I set it up in my office at work, would my co-workers laugh me out of the building?

If the answer is yes, that means the clients would be GUARANTEED to do so, and the case is obviously lacking.

There's a difference between doing custom work on a case, and doing elegant, tasteful custom work on a case. This is why the paint jobs from Falcon, VooDoo, et al are so high quality - people appreciate professionalism in design.

So anyway, if you want to build a case that looks like the bastard child of a neon sign and a robotic spider, be my guest, but don't expect me to think it has any more merit than abstract art: little to none.

EDIT: God, I could even understand ugly if it were practical, but it can't even claim that. This mod is weird for the sake of being weird, which I've never been able to see a point to.

See, THIS is why this board is so f-in' boring. You guys lack the modding spirit. You don't mod for practicality. You mod for the sheer joy of creation. "I f-in' made this!" is the cry of the modder. All the better if it looks badass, which this does.

And who judges a person's character by how their PC looks anyway? Just because my PC can melt your "Lexus" into slag purely by virtue of its badassness, I've got some kind of inferiority complex? Suck my tiny penis, dude.

I agree with you. People don't mod cases to make them look like lian li or be more practical, they do it because it is fun and want to make it look cool and in this case, futuristic and alien like. What is with all the people on this board saying that it's ugly? It's supposed to look futuristic but people seem to want it to look like lian li! No of these people do have any modding spirit.

Take that "modding spirit" creativity, start a business modding cases and make some money. Then I shall praise you.

to all you people who think it's cool just because of the work he put into it.. that's fine, i still think it looks ugly.

for example,
i am into the import car scene, and going to custom car shows, i like seeing motor swaps, nice functional mods, but i still think cars that have front end or full body conversions with stupidly done up custom interiors are just dumb, they are all ugly and i hate them all. doesn't mean the person didn't put their heart and soul into the project, but these things are subjective. I think my case is almost at exactly what I've always wanted it to be. if I wanted to more hardcore, i would have... but I like a nice simple clean computer case, with clean and tidy wiring, that's all i've ever wanted, and it's the same on my car.. i have not changed the rims or done any crazy body mods, i lowered, and debadged the car, and i think it looks better than all the ones that are totally done right up.

That's why there are different products in this world... some people want something else.. different opinions!
