Just got this AT&T flyer in mail: they offer free professional installation and first month free. You have to have cable modem otherwise it's additional three bucks a month. Offer expires 2/21/2003. I didn't see anything about a contract so I assume you can cancel after the first month, otherwise it's $53 a month if you don't have AT&T cable tv. Professional installation alone cost $100 but they usually have it for $50 in their promotions but then they have promotions, they take away their normal installation and force you to use their professional installation for $50.

Put in your zip code and it will tell you what deals you qualify for. I think it's only for Oregon and SW Washington cus for me it says: Local Deals or something like that, followed by: Oregon and SW Washington.

Now someone should find a good deal on a linksys cable modem, the one that you can stack on top of other linksys devices 🙂
 
They usually have this promotion going during various times of the year. Good deal nevertheless... just cross your fingers if the promotion is currently active when you sign up.. surely YMMV. 😀
 
Got in on the deal on the 7th of this month (Eugene, OR). Cable internet is blazing away as we speak 🙂

It's $45.95 a month for me cuz I have AT&T cable but I'm still renting their modem at the moment for $3 a month.
