Something from my home front...

Republican state Representative Bill Post, who supports pro-gun legislation, said the rally took “a completely wrong turn.”

“Today these people entered a whole new world of horrible wrong,” he wrote. “They didn’t just rally, they didn’t just give a speech, they did something SO deplorable I am loathe to even post it here. THIS DOES NOT HELP OUR CAUSE!!!”

As someone who lives in Oregon may I say that when our Republicans aren't on board, you are fvcking nuts (look up Art Robinson for some laughs). Fortunately there are relatively few of these nuts, mostly in the rural areas (as usual for this type in Oregon). Unfortunately, the optics sure make the sane open carry advocates cringe.

I'm a gun owner and don't really think we need open carry so I have to say this is a great way to keep from making it law...lol!

One common manifestation of self hate is fanatical dedication to some cause the controversy about which is sure to generate attention, especially negative attention. Self hate creates an emptiness inside, a craving for meaning, a need for some ego attachment to shield oneself from feeling that emptiness by filling it with some delusional purpose Gun nuttiness is just one of a near infinite range of choices for self haters. The emptiness within is terrifying because it was created by fear in the first place, by being made to feel worthless.

There are basically two roads back from this, self accomplishment that negates the feeling of being worthless via real world achievements, and psychoanalytic work that leads to grief, self compassion, and real healing. In every person there is a core part that retains ones original healthy being.

What's the problem? GWB effigies were burned all the time and I didn't see any outrage.

Pretty disgusting behavior from these people. Way to not get people to support you.

In the US? I'll take some examples please.

I just googled it because I don't remember any, there are several. As well as a guillotine called the "Bush Whacker" and many posters calling for the death of Bush with signs. One being lynched with the American flag around a Bush doll neck.

EDIT, Here is the first link that popped up; http://www.newsbusters.org/blogs/nb...dnt-care-about-protest-signs-threatening-bush

Unless these are made up, I don't see any main stream news sites links but I didn't look much. But maybe there is another point to that. Signs can be photo chopped though so who knows.

The real victims in all of this horrible gun violence are gun owners. They are the victim.

I just love that one gun wasn't enough so they had to give the snake arms so it could hold two.

snake needs a white hood over its head.

It's hard to dispute some things in the real word I guess.

I'll worry about shooting Daesh with my .357s the day they start trying to break into my front door I guess.

I don't see any burning efegy but you provided equivalent examples so I'll accept it. Pretty deplorable behavior imo.

So did your savior Obama. What does that have anything to do with asking if Bush was ever burned in effigy?

Obama had to carry on the mess bush made. Burning people in effigy isnt always about killing them. Its a protest about that persons policy. And people should of protested harder and people like you shouldnt of supported war because of fear.

snake needs a white hood over its head.

Care to explain why? Or are you just one of those morons who like to spread the same divisive hateful racist rhetoric? Can black people not support the 2nd amendment? Are blacks not allowed to own firearms?

oh yeah... some dipshit liberal said the Gadsden flag was racist.
